he Mezquita which in Spanish means a mosque is a Roman Catholic cathedral in Córdoba, Spain.This was once the second largest mosque in the world which was built on the order of the Moslem emir Abderrahman I in the year 785 on the ruins of the old Visigoth church of St. Vincent. The mosque at Cordoba has a mixture of different architectural styles. Today the grand building of Mezquita as it is well known can be visited by tourists throughout the year for 6 Euro entrance fee.
