A Sunday afternoon, summer was on-set, kids were having their school vacations and wife was asking me about the probable destination of our vacation trip. Just then our eyes got attracted towards a television program showing details of 1992 Barcelona Olympics. The screen was showing the beautiful city of Barcelona in Spain:the beaches,shopping points etc. and I got the destination for my vacation trip.
Before leaving for the trip I thought of doing some homework by collecting some information about the tourist places of Spain and hotels at Barcelona.I browsed many websites having information about Spain like the health system in Spain,time to visit Spain etc. What I found had proved my decision to select Spain for vacation trip was really a worthy one.
The Kingdom of Spain is situated in the southern part of Europe and tourists are attracted there to enjoy a variety of features ranging from diverse geographical beauty to the rich and colorful cultural heritage. They are pulled by the lovely beaches, architectural structures, markets and also by the cuisine of the place. The beautiful cities of Spain include Madrid (the capital), Barcelona, Valencia, Seville, Malaga, Bilbao, Granada, Salamanca, Cordoba, Tenerife and Toledo.
In a weeklong trip I knew I would not be able to visit all of these, so I decided to make the Olympic city of Barcelona as my place of stay and visit other tourist spots from there only. Barcelona is the second largest city of Spain famous for its beautiful beaches and sea coasts. The most popular beach is Barceloneta which is equipped with all the facilities of beach sports. Sagrada Famila Church is a famous Gaudi architectural structure that greatly enhances the beauty of the city. The major shopping points are Centro, La Rambla and Exiample.
There are more than 750 hotels in Barcelona. I was thinking to stay in one of the best hotels there. Booking a hotel in Barcelona through website was not a bad idea. My vacation to Spain is surely going to be a great pleasure.
