A good news is in the air for tourists and locals of Spain who are fan of rock music. Spain's first Museum of Rock music has been opened in Barcelona's Areas shopping mall.
The museum, which is open from 10 am till 10 pm every day of the week will exhibit around 500 pieces from the Barcelona Private Rock Music Museum Foundation,having one of the largest collections of rock memorabilia in Europe.
The exhibition is made up of four rooms, one dedicated to the Beatles, one to the Rolling Stones, another to national rock, and the fourth one is to house transitory exhibitions, that will change every three months.
The exhibition will include original Beatles and Rolling Stones records, one of Michael Jackson's jackets from his tour in 1987, letters of complaint to the Civil Guard in Mallorca from Yoko Ono and John Lennon, an unpublished Bruce Springsteen letter, and Ringo Starr's signature on a cheque from the National Westminster Bank.
Apart from holding concerts, museum will be running an educational programme for schoolchildren called "On Stage", which gives them the chance to feel like a music star on stage with lights, sound and a virtual audience.
